Element houses are produced as wooden elements at the Timbhaus OÜ factory in Siimusti, Jõgeva municipality. In the case of an element house, the building structure is manufactured ready in the factory and erected on the site using a crane, the construction time on the site is minimal. Big elements made of wooden structures are up to 13,5 meters long and 3,5 meters high. Wooden elements enable to build, for instance, private houses, terraced houses, apartment buildings, public buildings, etc.
Compared to a house built on a construction site, an element house has several advantages:
- In case of element houses, one can deal simultaneously with the delivery of house elements in the factory and with other tasks on the construction site (e.g. foundation construction). In the case of a house being built on a construction site, it is not possible to perform these works simultaneously, and the whole construction process will be longer.
- Saving money. Since in case of element houses, work is performed simultaneously both in the factory and on the construction site, it also provides financial savings. The construction time is shorter, and so the security costs of the worksite and project management costs are also lower.
Since all materials are stored and the elements are manufactured indoors in the factory, they are protected from the weather conditions (e.g. rain, snow, sun). The production of house elements does not depend on the season, and houses can be built all year round.
